Sherry (Nikki) May-Axton is the Brainchild behind both S S Promotions / May Models and The Catwalk Cure.

With degrees in both business and psychology, Sherry has always chosen the entrepreneur route. In her mid twenties to mid thirties she was a promotional model herself, doing print work and commercials. Following a successful career of training Toronto medical centers; on automation of OHIP billing. It became mandate for all centers to automate OHIP, so once every doctor was signed up, that market was saturated. Time to move on again; took a year off to complete a Post Grad Graduate course in Corporate Communications then, “Top Real Estate agent in Toronto” that lasted only a few years and then the market came crashing down. Success had never been something that Sherry feared, so inevitably she decided it was time to spread her wings and risk all, she was going it alone. “I made up my mind then, that I would open the largest, most upscale Promotional Modeling Agency in Toronto With the BEST girls in the city” Always dreamt of a more solid agency for promotions spokes models (not tall and skinny, but more voluptuous types), girls that are used more for trade shows and golf tournaments. That particular sector of the industry had virtually no agency protection until S S Promotions / May Models opened their doors in 1993.

From the comfort of her own phone, $9,000 as start up and 2 phones, Sherry built S S Promotions to a 2 office, fully employed juggernaut that it is today. A remarkable 140 gorgeous promotional models of all different shaped and sizes are signed with the agency.
