Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre

With over 229,000 patient visits per year, Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre (TSRCC) is one of the largest cancer care centres in North America, with specialized activities that span the spectrum of cancer care.

In partnership with Cancer Care Ontario and affiliated with University of Toronto, TSRCC offers the highest levels of patient care while conducting world-class research and teaching in a clinical setting.

Our Breast Cancer Program is an international leader in research, treatment and prevention and holds many world-firsts, including pioneering Contrast-Enhanced Digital Mammography, which uses blood vessels leading to tumours for diagnosis and specialized treatment.

We were the world-first to reveal that combining low chemotherapy doses and anti angiogenic drugs drastically impedes tumour growth. Our current international trials hope to result in preventing drug resistance among patients to assist long-term recovery.

We will soon be home to Canada's most comprehensive research, teaching and treatment centre for breast cancer.
